How does electric power warehousing respond to intelligent transformation and upgrading? A case study of Yufeng Intelligent in the electric power industry Mar 22, 2025
According to the "14th Five-Year Plan for a Modern Energy System," the power grid must serve as the core platform to coordinate the large-scale development of new energy with the safe and stable operation of the power system. By advancing the digital upgrade of the power system, building new power system models, and deepening institutional reform, the plan aims to enhance technological innovation and intelligent O&M capabilities while strengthening power resource allocation. As a pillar of the national economy, the electric power industry must, while fulfilling its core role in supporting social development, build an intelligent and efficient warehousing and logistics system to boost its competitiveness. Given that power materials are diverse, have large demand volumes, and require timely supply, it is essential to scientifically plan warehouse layouts, optimize logistics architecture, and improve resource allocation efficiency to create a modern warehousing system that combines precise daily allocation with rapid emergency response, thus providing a solid material support foundation for the safe operation of the power system. PART ONE-Pain Point Analysis of Warehousing Upgrades in the Electric Power and Grid Industry The extensive variety of materials: spanning power transmission and transformation equipment, emergency repair tools, safety protection gear, etc. - presents significant challenges in categorical management. This complexity often leads to storage inaccuracies, inefficient retrieval, and may potentially cause repair delays due to material misidentification. High-Priority Emergency Response Demands: Power equipment failures may trigger large-scale power outages, necessitating rapid deployment of spare parts for emergency repairs. Conventional warehousing models exhibit slow response speeds, struggling to meet emergency demands particularly during nighttime operations or in remote areas. Challenges in Distributed Inventory Management: The widespread geographical distribution of power infrastructure creates coordination complexities for regional warehousing centers. This often results in uneven inventory distribution across service zones, leading to suboptimal resource allocation and increased operational costs. Data Latency and Information Silos: Manual inventory auditing processes cause delayed data updates (typically 24-48 hours) with accuracy rates below 85%, insufficient for real-time dispatching decisions. Compounding this issue, fragmented material management systems across departments maintain isolated datasets, preventing effective cross-functional coordination. Physical Space Constraints: Approximately 65% of power grid warehouses are retrofitted from legacy facilities, introducing inherent design limitations: Dimensional constraints in length/width, Restricted floor load-bearing capacity, Height limitations. These structural parameters fundamentally constrain storage optimization potential. PART TWO-Yufeng Intelligent Ele...

  • A Case of Three-Way Forklift Dense Storage System in a Large Foreign-funded New Energy Lithium Battery Industry
A Case of Three-Way Forklift Dense Storage System in a Large Foreign-funded New Energy Lithium Battery Industry Mar 20, 2025
Product Description This project is designed to automate the storage of anode and cathode raw materials in the lithium battery workshop. A total of four laser-guided three-way forklift AGVs are deployed. The workflow is as follows: Operators place the anode and cathode raw materials in the designated buffer storage area. Once placed, the automatic scanning system identifies the material type and pallet specifications. The WMS (Warehouse Management System) automatically binds the material and pallet information. A safety light curtain detects the material’s external dimensions, checking for excessive height or width. Once verified, the WCS (Warehouse Control System) dispatches the AGVs to transport and store the materials in the designated warehouse locations. Product Picture

All robots are centrally managed by Yufeng Intelligent’s self-developed dispatching system, enabling dynamic route planning, real-time status reporting, and efficient execution of tasks such as raw material distribution, inbound handling of finished/semi-finished products, remote warehouse station deliveries, and multi-vehicle coordination with flexible avoidance mechanisms. Aligning with the digital transformation trend, Yufeng Intelligent provides end-to-end solutions for medical enterprises, facilitating smart factory development and empowering businesses with enhanced efficiency through digitalization and automation. Product Picture Product Advantage 1. Magnetic Navigation in Narrow Aisles and Laser Navigation in Open Areas The three-way forklift robot adopts magnetic navigation inside narrow aisles and laser navigation in external areas.Since the customer required the aisle width to remain unchanged, and manual pallet transport was still necessary on the first level, the standard dual-side navigation guard rails for three-way forklifts could not be used.To ensure operational stability and safety,a hybrid navigation system combining magnetic guidance within aisles and laser navigation in open areas was implemented to meet production needs. 2. Multi-Area,Multi-Floor Pharmaceutical Transport The production facility spans three floors, with each level covering over 10,000 square meters. The robots receive WMS-assigned tasks based on production line requirements across different floors. To navigate complex pathways, seamless integration with MES enables: Obstacle avoidance, Efficient elevator transitions between floors, Automated door passage, Accurate and rapid switching of navigation maps. This interconnected system showcases Yufeng Intelligent’s advanced software capabilities, ensuring smooth and precise automation for multi-floor pharmaceutical logistics. Product Video

  • AGV Solution for Reach-Type High-Lift Forklifts in the Tobacco Industry
AGV Solution for Reach-Type High-Lift Forklifts in the Tobacco Industry Mar 19, 2025
Project Background The tobacco industry is characterized by high material flow, multiple transportation stages,a high degree of automation and flexibility in production, and stringent requirements for information control and management systems. In recent years, major tobacco companies have been continuously adopting new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and control costs. As a hallmark of modern production,AGVs are well-suited to meet these industry demands. This project aims to provide a fully automated, unmanned solution for a tobacco company, integrating storage, sorting, and distribution. The automation level is expected to exceed 90%.Additionally,to align with the State Council's "Made in China 2025" strategic plan, the project requires a significantly higher proportion of domestically produced equipment compared to imported products. Implementation Challenges and Countermeasures Due to site constraints, the project requires an increase in storage capacity. The temporary storage area is designed as a high-density storage zone, utilizing shuttle cars for storage and AGVs for transportation. The project primarily involves two key challenges: Challenge 1: Efficient Warehouse Scheduling in a High-Density Storage Area with Limited Space To address warehouse space limitations and optimize inbound and outbound efficiency,a customized Warehouse Management System (WMS) with multiple rule-based strategies was implemented. This system manages multi-level orders across provinces and cities, handling multi-SKU,multi-batch attributes. It streamlines order initialization, order consolidation, inventory allocation, picking strategies, and shipping strategies, significantly improving inventory efficiency. Challenge 2: High-Precision AGV Handling of Shuttle Cars There are very few successful industry cases of AGVs handling shuttle cars, mainly due to the minimal gap between the shuttle car and its rail. The AGV must place the shuttle car with millimeter-level accuracy.Additionally, the plant layout leaves only 2.7 meters of space for AGV movement. To overcome these challenges,a custom reach-type laser-guided forklift AGV was designed. The vehicle's mechanical structure was modified, and precise load distribution calculations ensured a compact yet stable design. The smaller body facilitated accurate positioning, while enhanced positioning sensors and an improved control system ensured millimeter-level precision. Customer Value This project deployed six reach-type laser-guided forklift AGVs working in coordination with shuttle cars.Manual layer-switching was replaced with automated AGV operations, significantly increasing workshop intelligence and automation while reducing labor intensity. The Yufeng intelligent scheduling system effectively addressed challenges such as high material transport volume, low efficiency, and inaccurate handling of manual forklifts. This also enhanced workplace safety and eliminated the conventional reliance on stacker cranes or lifts to interface with s...
