At present, the electric forklift has been more and more widely used. What kind of charger should be equipped for the battery?

As for the characteristics of electric forklift charger, the operators and users of the enterprise do not know very much.Improper use may shorten the battery life of electric forklift,  and it is a headache after the power and use time are significantly reduced. Today, EFORK will take you to understand the characteristics of two commonly used chargers.

1. Power frequency charger

The power frequency of electric forklift refers to low and medium frequency, generally 50HZ in China. Use linear power supply, generally using transformer, from high voltage to low voltage, and then rectified to output DC voltage, because there is a large transformer in the power frequency charger, therefore, there are disadvantages such as heavy weight and large internal consumption; the power device of power frequency charger has been working online, and the working efficiency may be reduced. Therefore, power frequency charger has the advantages of simple structure, strong load capacity and strong reliability. Linear power supply is easy to maintain, because most users have maintenance personnel familiar with linear power supply and have spare parts for this. The maintenance tool only needs a multimeter to basically solve the problem, and a more careful electrician can also do it. Generally, there are no sequelae after maintenance, the fault can be completely eliminated, and the performance can be completely restored.


2. High frequency charger

The power device of the switching power supply of the high-frequency charger of the electric forklift is in the state of high-frequency on and off when working. The charging process is actually an energy conversion process such as "electrical energy-magnetic energy-electrical energy". The alternating current of the power frequency (50Hz) is converted into high-frequency current, and then converted into low-voltage by a high-frequency transformer, and then rectified to output a low-voltage direct current, and the voltage regulation is realized by controlling the oscillation frequency.Therefore, when the shielding of switching power supply is not good, it is easy to lose the voltage stabilizing performance due to the interference of transmitted harmonics, resulting in voltage fluctuation, or frequency variation due to its high-frequency interference. At the same time, if the protection circuit of switching power supply is not done well, once a fault occurs, its voltage may rise suddenly and burn the battery. The high-frequency charger uses high permeability materials as the transformer. The higher the frequency, the higher the efficiency of the conversion process, the less energy wasted on heating and vibration, and the smaller the magnetic core of the transformer required for the higher frequency electric energy conversion. Therefore, the high-frequency charger has the characteristics of high efficiency, small volume and light weight.
